The original intent of the image was to display a melting pot of culture and cultural issues.

I appropriated this image by first changing the hue/saturation and then using the cutout filter. I also used levels and changed the layer styles to emphasize certain areas.

The new image i think is communicating almost the same idea but has more emphasis on certain areas.
